Gencom Names Oliver Pitkin Head of Business Development

Gencom is thrilled to welcome Oliver Pitkin to our team as our new Head of Business Development.

Olly brings over 25 years of global experience in the broadcast and media industry, having held senior roles with major players including Sky UK, Sky News Arabia, Sky New Zealand, and most recently NEP New Zealand, where he led Sales, Operations, and Technology teams. Throughout his career, he has worked with major broadcasters all around the world and contributed to high-profile events such as the Olympics and World Cups.

As a notable example of his international expertise, Olly spent 18 months in Abu Dhabi as part of the launch team for Sky News Arabia – the first independent Sky News service and a direct competitor to Al Jazeera in the Middle East.

In his new role, Olly will focus on driving business development for Gencom across Oceania and the broader APAC region. His extensive experience and deep industry insights will be instrumental in expanding our partnerships and furthering Gencom’s growth as Australasia’s leading independent provider of integrated media technology solutions.
